WOW! Thank you for exposing all of this information and putting the pieces of the puzzle together. I once trusted some of the people you mentioned but no more!
I agee that the Meanses seem like a pair of con artists on the make -- and this very weird background about their dad and his (deeply unsettling and impossible to follow) "book for children" was illuminating.
But I don't think it's wrong that there are some biological causes to the trans phenomenon. It's a cult but it's not *just* a cult: atrazine really does turn the frogs sorta gay , the ecosystem is full of endocrine disruptors, many young people look obviously physically unhealthy (not just the ones seduced by the gender cult). Many factors contribute to the situation in which we now find ourselves.
I agree the our food and water and farming and all of it need to be cleaned up. I did/do the organic meats, filtered water, no hormone milk, gardening thing since our kids were little. They all did fine - but 1...Here is the clincher - for a few years and now again she is fine. Just like that. Sudden onset and sudden desist reeks cult. This is what many parents are living. So by all means clean it up but I suspect the cultural/political onslaught weighs by far the heaviest. And I mean by far.
For a fascinating read about how 'experts' like to weigh in and turn every leaf read "What Happened to the Girls in LeRoy" when the truth is none of what they were looking for. If you do not get NYT (as I do not) I do believe you can find it.
All that being said, I do believe in general people are more unwell and when you feel more unwell and want answers (which we all do when unwell) and then some shiny remedy with a fancy name like 'gender dysphoria' is offered, ah, what relief. Yes, that seems to be happening. This is how bulimia went viral. Naming things and then adding them to the DSM works wonders sadly.
I listened to a podcast about that case, it was indeed fascinating.
I'm not challenging the cult like aspects of gender ideology. I just think we are seeing several things simultaneously -- cratering fertility rates around the world, young people having much less sex than prior generations, all this gender stuff -- that suggest there are biological causes involved as well as social causes.
The attempt to pin the skyrocketing number of young people, especially teen girls, suddenly identifying as trans on an environmental toxin cause (like hormone disrupters in food and water) has a lot of similarities to RFK Jr's investigation into the cause of the "autism epidemic." They are both show combinations of limited understanding of what many of the new diagnoses actually look like and what's driving them. Let me start with RFK Jr's misunderstanding of the autism epidemic and then show the many parallels with the Means and their claims of an environmental cause to the epidemic of gender dysphoria and trans IDs in children, teens, and young adults.
RFK Jr is focusing on just one type of autism: the more severe presentation in which children and adults are often nonverbal or have only limited spoken language. They often have physical health issues (especially GI issues), cognitive impairments, show skill regression or skill loss early in their development, and have very dysregulated and challenging behaviors that require 24-hour monitoring by their family. These families often lack even basic resources or supports for their kids, especially when the kids become adults and age out of the public school system. When RFK is looking at the exploding numbers of autism diagnoses which went from 6 cases per 10,000 in the 1980s to 45 cases per 10,000 in 1991 to 1 in 36 for the last few years to now 1 in 31, he is thinking of the more severely affected children and adults. It should also be noted that it's often these families of more severely affected children that are targeted by naturopaths and alternative medicine types with expensive detoxes/diets/candida treatments/alternative therapies (big pharma is not the only place we need to follow the money).
But the exploding numbers in the rates of autism diagnoses are not coming from the more severe end of the spectrum (what is now often referred to as level 3 autism because of its highest level of support needs). It's coming from the constantly expanding and redefining of who can qualify for a diagnosis on the mildest (level 1) end and the removal of Asperger's syndrome from the DSM V in 2013. On the "milder" end, children (and teens, depending on which source you're using to track rates) who would have *never* gotten an ASD diagnosis 10 years ago are now getting them due a well documented diagnostic creep and expanding or changing what counts as a symptom. When RFK Jr is demanding answers to the autism epidemic, he is (incorrectly) thinking 1 in 31 of the more severely affected/level 3 and completely ignoring the change in diagnostic criteria that results in children and teens getting the diagnosis that he is probably not even thinking about. Focusing on ideas of "environmental toxins" causing the "autism epidemic" is ignoring the real cause of the exploding autism numbers: changes in DSM criteria and how those subjective criteria are being interpreted and applied by the professionals making the diagnosis. There are even socially driven and activist driven pressures contributing to these changes.
And now it looks like we're getting set up to have a similar mistake understanding the exploding numbers of kids and teens receiving gender dysphoria diagnoses. The "gender dysphoria" diagnosis used to apply only to a highly gender nonconforming child with a persistent, consistent, and insistent declaration he was, or wanted to be, the opposite sex. It started in early childhood and persisted throughout adolescence. Now a teenage girl with no history of gender distress or even non conformity can find the idea online in a time of high distress caused by other things, declare she is trans, and as long as she says it for just six months (or in the case of my daughter, in the throes of covid school lockdowns, not even six months!) and she gets an official diagnosis of gender dysphoria on her records and submitted to the insurance company. The social contagion piece for gender dysphoria and the diagnostic creep and changing and broadening diagnostic criteria are just as clearly at play here too, yet RFK & co will be making the same mistakes here as they are with autism if they keep running either these "environmental toxins ideas and not look at what's really driving these numbers.
I could not help but notice when I wrote a post called 'Traumatizing Families' that the Children's Health Act of 2000 not only funded/ funds the gender madness but also autism. So called 'Centers of Excellence' were established and given massive funding. Autism programs as I remember were funded before this but at the turn of the century they seemed to ramp things up. The act was a broad measure that seemed to institutionally capture countless families into their allopathic model of harm. There is no doubt in my mind that medicalizing normal is happening across the board and that the psyche industry and their bible of diagnostics codes is used as a tool to capture victims. 'Gender dysphoria' as used today is just a bunch of hooey IMO. Using a word like 'gender' to describe anything in medicine is harmful.
This post will also be carried on The 11th Hour Blog (https://www.the11thhourblog.com/) and Jennifer's Newsletter (jbilek.substack.com). Please consider supporting Jennifer Bilek's work there.

They need numbers to create an industry.

Dr Ellen Grant who helped develop the pill with Dr Pinkus quickly saw that it was a disaster for humanity
Her book "The bitter Pill " explains why
Hopefully RFK will choose wisely
